It’s been an emotionally exhausting week.
People live and die; that is part of the reality of the circle of life.
But one subject that does not seem to matter to many people these days, is WHERE one will end up in ETERNITY.
When we are thinking of the occupation we would like to do, where we will live, the vehicle we would like to own, car & health insurance, the type of home we would like, certain foods we would like to eat & whether or not they’re healthy for us as we check the labels, etc.— It is absolutely amazing how much we will look into & research so many other things in our lives-but when it comes to WHERE we will end up in ETERNITY— most people don’t give it a second thought.
THAT is a terrifying thought.
We humans have allowed a rebellious spiritual being who got kicked out of heaven, along with an unknown number of other rebellious spirits, to entice a vast majority of us enough into believing that GOD does NOT EXIST, so why then worry about where we will end up when we are gone?
And for some humans, THEY go ahead and rewrite and retranslate the Bible to their own terms, insisting that there is no place called “Hell” or the “Lake of Fire”, EVEN THOUGH it is clearly written in black and white in the Bible that such a horrific place DOES exist, but it was initially only MEANT FOR THOSE REBELLIOUS ANGELS WHO DISOBEYED THE LORD GOD.
It was NEVER intended for us humans!
But the LORD GOD gave humanity a gift—FREE WILL, to CHOOSE FOR OURSELVES such things as WHAT or WHO we would believe in (or not), & WHERE we would end up at the time of our passing.
The Eternal Godhead supplied the necessary knowledge, wisdom, & discernment to us humans (& also warned), to plainly understand WHO we should believe in & serve.
BUT—the enemy of our souls would have the opportunity to DECEIVE us into NOT believing in such a loving God Who sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die for us, taking upon HIMSELF, all our sins.
Some have bought that lie, and it has followed them right into a Christless ETERNITY.
In the END of each person’s life, as we stand before the Lord Jesus at the JUDGMENT, the LIFE CHOICES we made, will determine our eternal destiny.
